VILLA ELINA is a part of a Typical Tuscan 'Casale'(Stone farm house) of the end of 1800, in the small Hilly Borgo of Marcena, in the green Valley of Casentino, to the North of Arezzo.. A Borgo whose origins date back to Roman Times-

It was on a very important pilgrimage and commerce road , connecting Rome with Northern Italy and Bisantium, With the wood coming from its forests, the Florentines made a fortune in medieval times and built all their churches and exported it all around Europe

A very well done restoration work, with use of building materials typical of the area , as stone, cotto and wood has given new life to this nice 'Casale' today transformed into a Holiday Villa. At only 9 km from Arezzo, wonderful medieval town , set of the movie 'Life is beautiful' by Benigni. At 38 km. from Cortona, the beautiful old Etruscan Town in Valdichiana, set of the movie 'Under the Tuscan Sun' with Diane Lane.
The Villa is on 2 floors, and it has two independant entrances.The swimming pool is 9mt x 4,5 large, and it is at the guests’ complete disposal. It is in a a panoramic point . Table, chairs and barbecue make the villa ideal for eating out, 'Al fresco'. Furniture is with Tuscan antique furniture of the end of the last century.
The villa is well equipped and comfortable, ideal for a relaxing holiday and for visiting all the nice small towns of Tuscany and Umbria.

With 2 independent entrances and 2 kitchens the house is ideal to accommodate also two families who wish to spend their holidays together, yet maintaining their own privacy.You will live in a Small Tuscan village and at the same time you will enjoy the peace of Tuscan countryside.
