COOKING LESSONS
Traditional cooking lessons for those who wish to learn the secrets in the preparation the most renowned cuisine in the world. The lessons will be held either in a cooking school, in the Cortonese area, or directly in the villa of your choice by a qualified chef. A splendid way to spend day, cooking and finally sampling your unique culinary creation coupled with a good glass of local wine.
The core service includes: 3-4 hours of practical lessons in English , a 3 course meal, ingredients, chef, assistant chef, recipes in English, final kitchen clean up, dinner or lunch for those who do not wish to participate, with a supplement for them

TYPICAL ITALIAN COOKING COURSES OR LESSONS
Traditional Italian cooking courses (different depending on the region) are held by qualified personnel . Courses can last one or more days depending on the number of participants and can be carried out by one or more chef and a translator if necessary. We recommend a maximum of 8/10 participants per group for a better comprehension of the lessons.
The courses will always be private where the participants will take an active part in the preparation of the dishes, which will then be consumed as their meal. The traditional Italian cooking is based on the quality of the ingredients which are usually local , cooked in a simple yet refined manner. Many dishes, especially in the Tuscan way of cooking, are simple and light. Limited use of butter and cream, because Italy as a whole and Umbria and Tuscany in particular are fine producers of olive oil. Cooking courses are usually held in the afternoon, this is to give clients the possibility to relax during the day .
The coursegenerally starts at 16, that is 4pm. He/She will present the dishes that will be prepared during the lesson, the participants will be subdivided in the preparation of the same (which will be decided beforehand to avoid allergies and to respect personal tastes). We also consider the combination of the most suitable wines for each dish. The majority of the courses also involve the preparation of fresh hand-made pasta, or a good fruit tart. All hands on!!!!..preparation of your meal, starting with the 'antipasti ' and to finish with the desert in a cheerful atmosphere, maybe even tasting a good glass of prosecco with the starter. The Menu for your lesson can be chosen from the examples sent at the moment of your reservation.

TEACHING METHODS
The course starts with a brief theory explanation of the main principals of Italian cooking and continues with the preparation of traditional dishes, for example the pastry to home made sauces as well as the dough for the pasta, the preparation of the main dishes and deserts concluding with your prepared dishes. The choice of the menu's to be prepared depend on the fresh ingredients available during the reservation season.
LENGTH OF LESSONS
You can chose either one or more lessons during your stay, with the following timetable: Morning or Afternoon: for about 3-4 hours per lesson followed by lunch or dinner. Courses can be held from Monday to Sunday.
